All I can say is that after visiting at least 20-30 times this summer I have caught plenty of decent sized fish here - especially at Holbar 2 - (see my photo's on their website - only on one occasion did I blank and that was because I was fishing with a very strong wind behind me on an evening fish for the last 3 hours of the day - this place is truly awesome and is very beautiful too. Bailiffs are 2 top guys - plenty of friendly advice - and worth the fees easily! Not match fished the Coveys yet but hope to do so soon as they are top match waters too. Keep up the good work Partridge you have got to be my top fishery (compared to the others in the North West at least)

This was my second fishery visit, the first being Viaduct in Somerset. What a difference! No fish or bites at Partridge and I left after 3 hours as the crowds continued to roll in and fill the very close pegs. Viaduct is pretty and full of fish - 2 F1's a tench and 2 bream within the first hour as a contrast and then nice bream & roach steadily all day. Perhaps Partidge lakes have moved the bulk of the stock to the match lakes, but not a great day.

I appreciate that Willow is a 'day ticket' water, but it is located next to the hut where a myraid of match anglers gather at the weekend. The cost of Gold is shameless. Please tell us how much it costs? The fact that the fishery is at over capacity at the weekend is due simply to the fact that there are next to no other fisheries within the Liverpool area it is not a an indication of the quality of the fishery. The fishery is not bad neither is it in the league of Cudmore, Whitmore and indeed Hampton Springs.

I must disagree with the previous review. Willow is a 'day ticket' water not a 'club match' water so you would not be waiting to fish on there. As for gold lake being over priced the gold membership entitles you to fish on gold lake throughout the year and also all the other day ticket waters- so well worth the money! Also as for how packed the fishery is well all I can say is that this just reflects the popularity and great facilities the fishery has to offer

I must disagree with the previous reviews. The reviews certainly do not relfect the fishery that I have been to on a number of occasions when I do not have the time to drive to a quality fishery such as Cudmore or Whitmore Fisheries. Gold Lake is over priced by far. Holbar 1 and 2 contain far too few fish and could do with a few solid barbel stocking to mirror waters such as Arena that provide much better fishing all for the same £10 fee. The area has few fisheries and so at a weekend the place is packed. Arrive early and avoid Willow on a weekend unless you want to be surrounded by a myriad of match fisherman waiting to get on the match.
