I took my son there recently as its my local water it was his first all day fishing trip as hes only 8 on only his third cast of the day in the margins of the carp lake after a 10 minute battle he produced a 18lb6 oz common taken on spam hes now hooked and has fished there a further 3 times producing along with myself carp consistently in double figures, by far the most impressive fishery ihave visited that isnt syndicated in many years.

Holgan farm

I stayed there a few years back and it has to be one of the best fisheries in the UK. Excellent quality of fish and a fantastic environment.

Holgan farm.

If you look in the 28th August issue of the AT Des Taylor also describes it as a truly fantastic fishery.

Top Notch!!

A fantastic fishery in truly beautifuL surroundings.  The banks are very well kept and all pegs are very comfortable. The top pond is full of hard fighting carp and seems to be the most popular. The match pond has a good mix of fish and is good for baggin up with te chance of a lump or two. The tench pond is the most scenic with huge lilly beds and very nice sized Tench. All 3 ponds are a joy to fish and Ian Heaps is only too willing to pass on advice if needed. A tin of corn and a couple of pints of the fishery pellets are all you need for a days pleasure fishing.

If you are holidaying down in Pembrokeshire and need a bit of 'bank time' you can drop the family off at Oakwood adventure park, about 5 miles away, and hire out fishing gear at the fishery. Its well worth the trip and i would give the fishery 10/10 no problems.
