Either method will work here, I've used both the float and the feeder, but wait until the boat traffic has finished for the day. The stretches along the Thurne Dyke are good for bream, but I would reccomend hiring a day boat for a couple of days and head up under Potter Bridge as well as heading down river and up into the Bure. Moor up in the mouth of Fleet Dyke just past St Bennets Abbey, and I've had exceptional bags of bream and roach (benefitted from the bait lobbed in by the matchmen on the Abbey Bank). Pop a little further up and moor in mid water on Wroxham Broad where you will enjoy brilliant perch sport. We've had fish up to the three to four pound mark on a simple float fished red maggot rig.
