What is the best bait for bream in the winter?

Answer

Chopped worms fed within a fishmeal-based groundbait is definitely the best bait you can use for bream in all seasons.

It doesn't matter whether you are feeder, pole or waggler fishing - if you can fish over a bed of a fishmeal crumb loaded with plenty of chopped up Dendrobaenas - and a sprinkling of casters - you should start to catch bream.

The best bait on the hook will be either a whole redworm or half a dendrobaena, fished at least 6in overdepth.
