Pesky perch

  I went fishing today with the excuse that I had to get rid of some maggots. The lake where I fished has a deserved reputation for the number of small perch it contains. Of all the fish I have caught over the years the small perch are by far the worst at swallowing the bait and hook as well. I have years of experience using a disgorger but find that with perch, even with barbless hooks, it is sometimes impossible to remove the hook.
