Having just started in the sport  in the last twelve months, I went to stakehill on Friday 4/7/08 I must say its been the best days Fishing i've had so far, I started on pond 3 which as been stocked recently with F1's  and spent all morning catching these, so i moved to pond 2  which is smaller but as more variety of fish and caught my first tench not very big but you have to start somewhere. what i can say is thanks to all the  other anglers who were happy to help with advice.

It must be the best £5 i've spent in ages

Shaun are these the ponds u see when u turn off the motorway down to Stakehill ?

How do u get to them must b a hike up the fields from the bottom road.

Are tickets on the bank ?

I dont know if you can see them from the motorway, here is some directions I hope they are of some use.

At Stake Hill turn onto the Slattocks link road, then left at the roundabout onto Bentley Drive. Turn right into Stake Hill Lane and the fishery is on the left. Day tickets on the bank.

Have they found out who the culprit was who polluted the canal ?.
