im planning on making my own pop ups so iv brought my self a tub of pop up mix but i want to make 3 flavours but it dont say on the tub how much mix to add if any1 has used it before please could you let me no how much you used.

 when i make boilies/pop ups i tend to use 4oz of base mix to every medium egg, i use 1lb of base mix and 4 eggs to make 1kg of boilies

thanks for that mate i couldnt wait so i just went in there and added little bits at a time till i got a paste to work with so iv rolled them into a sort of ball shape the closed to round as i could get it anyway and left them to dry for 24 hours but iv just checked on them and they seem to be cracking is this gona efect them at all

sounds like they have dried too quickly. The cracks might let water penatrate them too much in which case they will go soggy & fall of the rig.

Thats the whole idea, the ground bait attracts the smaller fish first and the big ones follow.
