DOES ANYONE WATCH TIGHTLINES

I have just watched Tight Lines on sky and the way they weigh the fish in the the fishamanie qualifiers is a bloody joke pouring fish from keepney to weigh sling anin a couple of cases dumping for the want of a better word double figure fish on top of smaller fish already in the sling in my view the scales men and the anglers who do this need a good kick up the arse I am surprised that the ANGLING TRUST of which I am a member and who are the organising body allow this sort of thing to go on . I have been a scales man in my younger days and fish were treated with much more respect. LETS TREAT THE FISH WITH A LOT MORE CARE PLEASE.

You are not missing much, but watching Mr. ARTHUR once a week and venting my spleen at him is real therapy.

Well I can't watch it, don't have access to those channels, but are you talking about the old Terry "Tight Lines" Thomas series (Angling Today)  that used to show on ATV (ITV) I do remember watching them first time around, and I am glad these days, we are (allegedly) a lot more "fish aware" than sonme, were back then...  Although of course I realise there are still plenty of pleasure and match fishermen who still are guilty of abusing not just our fish but our banksides.

There is no such thing as a blank day

keith athur fell on his feet when he got the job i have never been impressed i could certainly think of a better man for the job incidently they certainly dont have fish conservation in mind when weighing the fish .but thats commercials for you.the poor bloody fish never get a rest. a close season should be enforced on these fisheries even if just for four weeks oh dear i hear them say ---how much money would we loose??? as far as tight lines goes you can watch a podcast of the show after the live show as finished from friday evening..i dont have sky in spain but do watch the podcast ..                                           sky sports tight lines podcast previous weeks shows also avaiable same podcast

hi the programme you refered to was on ATV midlands way back in the 50s or 60s nothing to do with the present show and you are correct it was produced by a twit  by the name of terry thomas        watched him once trying to catch a grayling on the fly .for a show it only took him 3 days/===

i used to watch it but dont like to for that reason , why do they bother with all these different rules to "help keep the fish safe " if they are just going to pile them in to a net and then dump then back in the water ,
