Hi all,

Had my first fishing session for many months today. And it turned into a red letter day. I have to admit I was targeting the carp but I`m not one of those who poo poo catching other species. I had no carp today only bream. But I broke my rather modest pb of 5lb three times. Final prize was 7lb 12oz  I know its not mahoosive but I am well pleased with my day.

If people cared about the really important things in life there would be a shortage of fishing rods.

 Nice to have a good day, on the odd time I go carp fishing if a bream or a tench grab it I'm more than happy but never had one of these massive ones I keep hearing about.   7lb is a nice bream,  5lb is about as big as I drag em out the river and same when I have had the odd one a carp session.

Out of literally hundreds and hundreds of River Trent bream.....my personal best is 8lb on the  button........so one of 7lb 12oz  is a very good fish.
