Capello? Premier league?

I only saw the headline, haven't read the story but apparently Capello wants one more challenge before retiring and would like to take on a premier league club,  Benny, Aborra,  what about WBA would you be happy to see him take over from Roy Hodgson,

Who else is going to get sacked to open a slot for him?

WBA - no.

He's said he wants a team who are capable of winning things - Premier League and Champions League.

I have a cheeky £10 on him getting the chelsea job permanantly from the day AVB got the sack. 14/1 but we shall see. It was a bit of a left field choice but one at the time I could see Abramavich going for after Guardiola and Mouriniho turn down the job.

At the minute though he must stick with di Mattaeo hasnt he?

As for Capello, will a big English team ever take him?

I didn't know he had said he wanted a team capable of winning the title and champions league, so he doesn't really want a huge challenge then!!

That might not be a bad bet you have there but the way Di matteo has turned them around it would be a bit harsh if he wasn't offered the full time slot.  Guardiola has said he wants a break but Abramovich's money might change that.  I must admit I think Guardiolas' style would suit Man Utd after Fergie retires.

if Redknapp had been the chosen one for the National team then Capello might have gone for spurs but I can't see any of the top seven changing their managers at the moment.  So if it is a top team he wants he might be in for a good long wait.

Capello wouldn't take Albion but I would grab his hand off if he offered , to be honest I'd dreading who we might get , watched the Blackpool Birmingham playoffs this morning and Birmingham were dreadfull , so Hutton hasn't exactly got them playing well or decent football - only one game I know.

I think DeMatteo will go even if he wins the Champions League I really don't think he is up to the job, his teams are usually great at playing for time.

Of course the conclusion is that if there is no God head , no guiding hand , no mystical force , then we are all automata clinging to a rock , whizzing through space ,hurtling and clinging on to some God forsaken ride, chemical accidents , accidentally chemically aware , peeking at conciousness , trapped like rats in a rat trap.

I agree totally with the Capello to Tottenham had Redknapp got the England job but i think youre spot on about the top teams not changing managers any time soon bar Chelsea.

I doubt Di Matteao wins them the Champions League final, but anything can happen in 90minutes. Regardless he has done well enough to get the job, but is he the man to rebuild Chelsea I don't think so, he appears too close to the players and ultimately thats what Abramovich wants to do.

Have to wait and see.

Nice to see he wants a top club then, nothing like having your bread buttered both sides,i am sure he thinks he will get the Chelsea post if he makes it clear he wants one last fling in England but i would not give him the pleasure,Di Matteao has done a great job in getting Chelsea playing again with the old guard they have and should keep the post.

Capello and Albion? dream on,he wants success not head aches,They did well this season but need to spend to do better next and i don't think he has a clue who he would want so give it to someone who knows what it takes and just how much money do they have to spend anyway?.

i woudnt say no to hutton at the albion as long as we get to keep foster and yeah we have had a good season without spending any money really but our director is to tight to spend any money and to be honest even if capello said he'd come to the albion i woudnt want him, money motivated all the managers these days are/ its like de matteo put him at say the albion without spending millions he'd be crap, he got us promoted but woudnt have him, sven-goran eriksson was the england manager and was at leicester for a while and he was crap proving big managers cant go to low spending clubs.

moan over.

Stan my initial reaction was to come back with some crack about the Wolves , but I see what you are saying. But having thought about it I still think you are wrong. If the baggies had got a tiny bit more luck and won just 2 more matches over the season then we would have been very near Everton. Similarly look at Fulham's position , not a big club in terms of attendance but still right up their in the top half.

Now before everyone jumps on my back and say I'm saying we will compete with Citeh or top 4 clubs - I'm not , but , if the table never lies , we aren't that far off a europa spot - all thanks to Roy Hodgson and Fulham are still feeling the effects of one of the best managers in the Country.

So in terms of Capello - I don't really want him but it wouldn't be that far out of place if we had him.

No Benny,i was not knocking Albion mate,i would be a fool to do so seeing how Wolves have done this season,i just think that Capello would not even think of Albion as a possible team for him,it will be hard work taking over from Hodgson and he would not want to try and follow what he has done with a low budget to work with,Capello wants a team and money so it would have to be a top six team and i still think Chelsea are the team he wants but good luck to the Tesco bags next season and lets hope we can bounce back but some how i will not hold my breath on that one
