Re: HAS SUMMER COME YOUR WAY YET

It was quite surprising the effect the weather had this year not as much colour as usual it is getting more designer orientated every year a bit like the emporeors new clothes they think if they keep telling you it is marvllous you will swallow it . Maybe it is me but it should be about the plants not what some speal merchant wants you to buy it has been changing over the last ten years still a good day but not what it was I first went in about 59 I was about twelve I have been 18 times in total but may give it a miss next year a few to many bull**iters for me I think. Sue says I am getting old and to set in my ways

Funny you should say that Greg because the snippets I saw on TV did not impress me at all, and a lot were designer showpieces costing tens of thousands, not for the ordinary folk anymore.

We are in a bit of a hot spell. For the last few days, it's been as much as 10 F (or 4-5 C) above average. Today and yesterday it was about 35 C. Fairly dry at the moment, but we could get some thunderstorms later in week.

If possible, I should mow lawn before rain. Perhaps I can do an hour after work tonight.
