I agree, Rooney had an awful game, and after all the build up he got :) The records will show he scored the only goal but, as Gerrard said, it was only a tap in. I think Ukraine were by far the best side in the first half and probably should have gone in with a lead. I may be a pessimist but, judging yesterdays performance, I don't see them beating Spain or Germany.

Thats what people were saying about them playing the UKRAINE wasit not but what do I know not my game ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I will probably get a load of flack, but here goes. Peter Crouch would have got up to a lot of those high crosses which would have resulted in more goals, as he has shown many times, a grossley under rated player.

Germany V Greece....4-2 the score and a good win to the Germans,so it is Portugal and Germany through to the semi finals,who will follow them?

Yeah I dont much about football either, but the game before England scored 3 and thats without Rooney, so the game with Rooney in we score 1. Davey you may not know much about football, but you seem to have summed up the situation very well.

In any other walk of life he would have been sacked long ago. Perhaps they should play these over inflated ego strikers on commission only basis like in Sales, seeing as they always say its a real privilage to play for the National squad, no score no pay.

 I do not think they do get paid, When they play for England, or what they do get, goes to a charity?. I agree there is always too much hype, a far as i am conserned, a World Class player, is only World Class when he get to a World Cup finals. World Class is used to cheaply, these days. IMO.
