Just been fishing to  Blenheim Palace yesterday (awful)...looking forward to some Tench very soon :)

My friend and I are looking for any info on an old fishing show that we remembered from ages ago.
What we can remember is that it was presented by middle aged a Northern fellow and that each episode featured a different species. I remember Chub, Perch and Tench at least.
He certainly caught a big Chub on honey flavoured bread paste...I remember that distinctly.And he went Perch fishing on a boat in a reservoir in one episode
I think it was probably broadcast in the late 80's or early 90's, my friend thinks the guys name might have been Derek (I'm not sure), and I think it was on ITV in the afternoons (he's not sure)
Really it wasn't a great show at all, very much a poor mans "go fishing"....but we both have very fond memories of it and would love to try and trace anything to do with it.
if you have ANY idea what show or presenter I'm talking about I'd be eternally grateful.
