Hi Northie,it is a pain all these adverts, you get more if you don't log in that's probably why you have that AT advert,i dont get that when i log in only the normal adds,i don't think there is anything you can do to stop these adds from showing, all down to paying the bills i guess

I make mistakes i am only human well half the time.

Yes mate they have done it again even after the posts and complaints a couple of weeks ago. Some how I knew they would, as NO admin ever reads or answers these complaints or forum niggles,or even pm's sent to them.  You need to activate your pop up blocker so that at least its not generating another page. Whoever has created this page generating pop up, needs something poping up their backside. The ad is for angling times, and were on their bloody site i should think we already know about their mags and papers no need for it seeing there is a block ad at the top of every page.

Yeah I get it as well, its very annoying and a real pain in the grass. I do hope that they put a stop to all these annoying adds.

Unfortunately, in a company as big as this one, we have different departments for everything and I have absolutely no control over any adverts placed on the site. I also can't do anything big in terms of changes because that has to go through our developers and unfortunately, with many many other sites also for them to look after, only serious things tend to get looked at.

Hi Mark,no one knows how long these run for but i guess it will be replaced by another one anyway, like Rose says it is out of our hands so we have to put up with these adds,i don't think anyone likes them but if they pay the bills then we have to put up with them i guess.

It still does not make sense Stan, so what your saying is Angling times is paying angling times[gofishing] for an angling times popup ad were all angling times[gofishing]members know of or purchase angling times on a regular basis. Its no wonder there has hardly been any posts lately especially those members who cannot block this popup.  Rose says she can't do anything about it,has she tried she does'nt say and no indications in the post that she had,  but she is the only one on here who has contact with these  departments and people, the least she could do is let them know its causing a problem for some members and ask is there anyway it could be amended,as this popup is preaching to the converted anyway.

Not for long. I am the type of person who gives things a try, by giving them a chance and not giving up on the first bad time/experience, but it getting almost too annoying to continue.
