Very little about whats being caught lately. I have only been a few times and it has been very quiet. Started off well a few weeks ago. 1 good chub, 2 small chub, 5 small roach and 1 small bream. Since then the next 4 sesions a toatal of 2 good roach and 1 roach, 1 average bream . However, had one very good bream, my only fish of the session that afternoon, may have been the bigest from that river, about 5/6 lb. Normally they are around the 1lb mark with a 3lb a very good fish. Caught it on jam sweetened sweet corn. I am gaining a lot of confidence with this idea.
July is statistically the best month for fishing, spawning over, ideal water temperatures etc. Although a lot of natural food in the water can not help things. Yet in two sessions I have had nothing apart from the bream, in fact I compleatly blanked last time. Mind you the water was surprisingly very clear and the water temperature had jumped up quite a lot. So, that may have not helped. In fact it was 72 degrees which made me think my thermometer was wrong, must check that out. Might get out tomorrow for 2/3 hours. Lets hope it improves.
