I have just checked the weather for the area for next week and they are saying dry sunny spells temperature daytime  20c night time a low of 12 wind light southerlies tides fair rising as the week goes on that will do us very nicely . bait delivery has been arranged for saturday evening so all is done and ready to go .With a bit of luck we will get a couple of hours in on saturday night and I shall be out with the lures before first light on sunday morning afew hours before breakfast

I seem to be lucky with the weather the Big Boss looks after me in that department in all the years of doing channei island wrecking trips over twenty years in all never had one delayed or blown off. The sun always shines on the righteous according to the forecast for south devon it turns crap the day I come home. But if they have got it wrong it will not stop us making the most of it. Thanks for you good wishes .

The sea fishing experts reckon this month should be a bumper the best for many years they say.

Re: A weeks fishing holiday is here.

My brothers are keen to do some rock fishing at Prawl Point but I do not think I will be doing any of that unless the access is realy good. Will ask around the local fishermen see if we can get a bit of dory fishing in the evenings there is one at Beesands he has a fish shop on the beach . Lots of choice should suite us down to the ground .The people that own it also have a  cottage flat pet friendly so if it is as good as it looks Sue myself and Barney may have a week next year. Have a good time in Shropshire.

While you are at Torcross, have a look at the tank memorial on the front if you have time, the story with it makes some good reading. I have the book written and signed by the guy who spent a large chunk of his life and cash, getting it recovered from the sea and set up there.
