PENN CLUBMAN LEAGUE 2011 - How to enter and compete

A NATIONAL SEA ANGLING COMPETITION FOR THE CLUB ANGLER
The Sea Angler Magazine Clubman League is open to all shore sea angling clubs and sea anglers and is organised via E Mail.
No affiliation to any National body is required to enter the event and clubs can be formed specifically to fish a team in the league. It is advised that all clubs should have Third Party Public Liability insurance. The League will be open for entries from JANUARY 2011 and the event runs from MAY 1st 11 until February 28th 2012.

HOW THE LEAGUE WILL WORK
Points are scored within EACH angler’s official Club competitions only.
Anglers will receive 5 points for a win in their club match, 4 for second, 3 for third, 2 for fourth and 1 for fifth. (No ties permitted, weight, length and then number of fish etc MUST be used to split ties)
ANGLERS CAN ONLY FISH ONE CLUB COMPETITION SERIES AND TEAMS MUST ALL FISH THE SAME CLUB SERIES. Teams will receive an aggregate of their total FOUR man score at each event they fish. To qualify events must have a minimum of TEN competitors.
RULES
1.The event is for INDIVIDUAL AND TEAMS OF FOUR ANGLERS with a lower age limit of 16 (16 at time of entry). All team members must be full members of the same club and must reside within 20 miles of the club’s HQ/domain. Team members must all reside in the same county.
2. One named reserve only is permitted and all anglers can only fish for one Club/team during the year. The reserve’s score can be used at any event but will not be used in the team’s total.
3. CLUBS ARE ALLOWED TO ENTER A MAXIMUM OF TWO TEAMS.
4. The event is for OFFICIAL CLUB EVENING COMPETITIONS ONLY (Open or members only) with a maximum duration of 4 hours. Weekend day events will be considered for inclusion, but they must not be OPEN events.
5. The League will be open for entries from JANUARY 2011 and the event runs from MAY 1st 2011 until February 28th 2012.
6. All TEAMS AND INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES must include an address, telephone number and an E mail address for the team captain or individuals. ALL RESULTS TO THE MAIN ORGANISER BY E MAIL ONLY.
7. Anglers will receive 5 points for a match win, 4 for second, 3 for third, 2 for fourth and 1 for fifth. Clubs can use any method to determine winners, weight, biggest fish, specimen etc. TIES ARE NOT PERMITTED and places must be determined by the match organiser/team captain.
TEAMS OF FOUR will receive an aggregate of their total score plus a bonus point if four weigh in.
Events must have a minimum of TEN competitors.
8. All results to be sent in within four weeks of competition being fished. They must include the number of anglers that fished the competition and the top five winners plus their weights.
9. Mixed teams of ladies and men are allowed provided they are 16 on the day of entry.
10. MAXIMUM TWENTY RESULTS ONLY TO COUNT FROM EACH INDIVIDUAL ANGLER AND TEAM. (Club events count towards your total even if you do not fish.
11. Results will be posted each month in Sea Angler Magazine and on the Go Fishing website. Results with pictures will be welcomed.
